The Land Transportation Office (LTO) – National Capital Region has shared on social media a post on how to take things “lightly” in the midst of traffic. KAMI learned that the LTO has called out those who abuse and misuse their horns.

“Pwede po kayo maglagay ng pakpak sa sasakyan kung masyado kayong mainipin.” it read on a now-deleted Facebook post.

“Hindi niyo nakikita na hindi sila maka go kasi merong tumatawid o me harang sa kalye,” it added.

LTO-NCR has also reminded the motorists on the actual use of horns.

“Paalala. Mali pong bumusina dahil pinagmamadali ang nasa harapan,” it stated as reported by Inquirer.

The post went viral as it garnered 4,100 shares, 2,000 reactions, and 500 comments. Through a Facebook comment, LTO-NCR has clarified that it was not their intention to be sarcastic.

Yung pong pakpak is ONLY meant to lighten things up. Let us be positive about this,” LTO said.

The LTO also urge the motorists to follow the law and guidelines to lessen road rage and maintain the motorists’ safety.

‘Wag na kayo maghintay ng enforcer,” it said.

“Bumubusina ako to call the attention of traffic violators that causes traffic ahead of me.. yan dapat ang ayusin nyo LTO.
“Thanks, but no thanks!
“Tapos huhulihin niyo 'yung magpapalagay ng Wings dahil sa illegal modification of vehicles Department Order No. 2010-32? 'Wag kami hahaha”
“as if naman nakikita kayu pag traffic?? nandyan lang naman kayu pag manghuhuli. Wag kami oy!”
