A Cebuana named Justine Lei Ramos, 23 years old, was able to ace the latest Architecture Licensure examination. KAMI learned that Ramos has shared her secret in order to be successful.

In a report by Inquirer, Ramos, who graduated from Cebu Institute of Technology-University (CIT-U), was the topnotcher among the 1, 120 passers. Ramos aced the exam with a rating of 83.08 percent.

According to Ramos, she did not expect to top the exam because all she was praying for was to simply pass the exam and get her license. She was also hoping to design and build her dream home for her family.

As reported by Sunstar, Ramos' initial thought when she saw the result was that it was just a fake news.

"I thought the result was fake news," Ramos said.

Ramos shared that her biggest inspiration is her father who worked abroad to provide for their family as well as her mother and brother.

“My greatest inspiration was my father who worked as an OFW (Overseas Filipino Worker) in Saudi Arabia and who was recently retrenched from his job. When he lost his job, I knew I had to pass that exam,” Ramos said.

What helped Ramos focus on her goals? She shared that deactivating Facebook helped her be free from distractions. Ramos also spent around 14 hours studying in 24/7 Cebu City Library as reported by Cebu News Daily.

At first, Ramos took up Medical Technology for about a year. However, she realized that her heart belongs in arts.

“When I started taking up architecture, I realized this is where I was meant to be,” Ramos shared.

Ramos said that in order to be successful, always try to dream big and not be afraid of taking risks.
