A bizarre belief in Thailand is eliciting mixed reactions from the online community. Kids as young as three years who were born twins and of opposite gender get married in a traditional wedding.
This was done to ward off bad luck because it is believed failure of doing the practice would result to death of the twins. Pictures of the cute twins, Petai Angdechawat and her twin sister Pailin are making rounds online. The marriage happened in Nakhonsawan province in Thailand.
The adorable pair had their Thai wedding ceremony at their home on Saturday as Petai offered his sister a whopping THB3 million in cash and gold as her dowry.
It is also believed that opposite-gender twins were lovers in their past life who did not end up together and that being born twins meant their prayers were answered by God.
Petai and Pailin's cute wedding photo shoot went viral on Twitter.
