A brave father was able to save his 12-year-old son from sure death by taking action immediately against the crocodile whose jaws were on his son.
KAMI learned that the 12-year-old was bathing with his sibling in the river when the crocodile attacked them, and grabbed him on his arm.
The crocodile then brought him to the other side of the river.
Fortunately, the younger sibling was quick to seek help from their father who sprang into immediate action.
Armed with a "pamalo," the father came to the rescue of his son and didn't stop hitting the crocodile until it let go of the poor child.
The 12-year-old sustained injuries in his arm and face. He is now in the hospital being treated for his injuries.
According to BBC, crocodile attacks are usually seasonal. Between October and March, the number of attacks usually increase.
For communities that are close to the water, a crocodile attack can become common. One simply has to be more careful whenever there are crocodiles in the area.
