The Philippine Army, Intelligence Service of the Armed Forces of the Philippines, PNP Special Action Force, and Philippine Navy joined forces to raid the house of alias “Kamah”, one of the suspects in the church bombing in Jolo.
KAMI learned that the security forces received a tip that Kamah was seen in Kalimayahan Village in Sulu. The authorities immediately went to raid his house. However, Kamah was able to escape from the scene as reported by GMA News.
The security forces were able to catch Ommal Yusop, 62, who was believed to be Kamah’s relative. Yusop was reported killed when he resisted and the authorities had to use deadly force.
The raiders were able to recover .45 caliber pistol, a sniper scope, two mobile phones, and a motorcycle.
Kamah is one of the four suspects who was caught in surveillance behaving suspiciously before and after the bombing in Jolo church. Kamah is believed to be a logistician for Abu Sayyaf’s urban group, “Ajang Ajang.”
In a previous report by KAMI, the authorities have publicized the CCTV footage containing the suspects in Jolo bombing that caused at least 20 deaths and around 100 people injured. Alias Kamah was seen wearing a blue-green jacket when he handed something to the person he was with and immediately ran after the blast.
