KAMI learned that the President and the boxing champion were present during the "BATO the Movie: The General Ronald dela Rosa Story" premiere on Tuesday night at the SM Megamall as reported by Inquirer.
Aside from Duterte and Pacquiao, Senator Koko Pimentel was also at the premiere night.
In a report by ABS-CBN News, the lead actor for the BATO film, action star Robin Padilla, also arrived at the red carpet premiere with his wife Mariel Rodriguez-Padilla.
Padilla commented on the issue that some Filipinos were urging the public to boycott the movie.
“Huwag nating idamay ang pelikula. Kasi may mga trabaho ‘yung mga nasa industriyang ito mga mahihirap din,” Padilla said.
“Tanging habol lang ng mga tagagawa ng pelikula, makagawa nang makagawa nang makagawa ng pelikula para tuloy tuloy ‘yung kanilang trabaho,” he added.
In a previous report by KAMI, some netizens were not pleased when they saw the trailer of BATO the movie. Some thought that it was an early campaign of Bato who is gunning for a seat in the Senate.
