- The Kapamilya actor shared the same sentiments on his social media account
Edu Manzano unhesitatingly admitted that he feels sorry for being not able to spend more time with his children during their younger years because he focused too much on his work.
"You know nami-miss ko talaga ang mga bata. Actually sometimes sinisisi ko ang sarili ko. Kasi before puro ako trabaho, trabaho, trabaho. Akala ko kahit papaano makakabawi ako sa huli," he said in 'Magandang Buhay' interview.
"Ang problema, of course, darating sila sa point ng kanilang buhay may mga barkada, may boyfriend, may girlfriend, ikakasal or graduate tapos hihingi pa na mag-master's. So sinisisi ko 'yung mga oras na hindi ko nailaan sa kanila at puro trabaho lang ang inatupag ko," he added.
He also shared the same thoughts on his Instagram account with a photo of him with his children including Luis Manzano, Addie and Enzo.
"I was wrong early in life because I thought I had to work, work, and work. And then slowly, I was seeing my children drift away. Doon ko na-realize na andami kong sinayang na oras. So now, when they’re home, every free moment I have I spend with them. I’ve never spent so much time texting or calling them as I do now. Gusto ko lang na kasama sila. To more bonding moments with you guys this year!" The Ang Probinsyano star wrote.
On the other hand, the Kapamilya star disclosed that he is maximizing the use of social media in keeping in touch with them.
"Doon ako nagpapasalamat sa social media. Nagpapasalamat ako sa Viber, libreng tawag o WhatsApp kasi 'yun ang pinaka-primary means of contact namin sa isa't isa," he stated
