Ashley Abad was laid to rest on January 27, 2019.
KAMI learned that her family could not contain their emotions during the funeral of the 19-year-old student who died of an alleged drug overdose at a concert during the Sinulog Festival in Cebu.
In a report by GMA-7 News program “24 Oras”, her father spoke about the death of his beloved child.
He also urged the girl’s boyfriend and friends to come forward and cooperate with the investigators.
“I need their cooperation. So that we can move on…
“Every morning I bring her to school. In the afternoon, I pick her up. I will miss that…
“For how many years, we’ve been taking care of her. Binantayan ko. Tapos just a split second, mawala lang sa amin? So painful. I want justice for Ashley,” the father said.
As of this writing, it is still not known whether Ashley took the party drug on her own or if she was forced to take it.
