- Robin Padilla will be starring in a recent and controversial biopic about Ronald Dela Rosa
- However, he admitted that he suggested other names for the lead role
- One of them is Coco Martin but he was not able to do it
Kapamilya actor Robin Padilla unhesitatingly revealed the true reason why Coco Martin was not able to portray the role of former PNP Chief Ronald “Bato” Dela Rosa in new movie.
KAMI learned that the former “Mistah” star believed at first that he is not fitted for the character and that there are more celebrities that could do it best.
Because of this, he suggested a lot of big names in showbiz during the pre-production or the planning process.
Robin admitted that actor Coco Martin topped his list of possible artists who could play as Bato Dela Rosa.
However, there was a conflict in the actor's schedule that was why the “Ang Probinsyano” star did not get the role.
“Ang dami kong binigay na pangalan ng artista diyan na puwedeng gumanap. Unang una na si Coco Martin ang binigay ko diyan,” he quipped.
“Pero hind ata sila nagkaintindihan sa schedule. Kasi una Star Cinema ang nag-aayos nito. Ang nagpaikot lahat nito Star Cinema,” he added.
Aside from Coco, Robin also suggested the names of Daniel Padilla and Aljur Abrenica when the production team was still conceptualizing the movie.
In a previous article by KAMI, Robin threw strong words to a director who blocks social media friends that promote his biopic film.
Born on November 23, 1969, Robin Padilla is a multi-awarded Filipino actor who is known for portraying gangster roles in most of his movies. He is dubbed as the”Prince of Philippines Cinemas.”
