- Iñigo Pascual showed how he values his fans in a recent concert for a cause
- He along with some performers mounted a benefit concert for one of his fans who has a Leukemia
- He met his fan Arnie Espina last year when he visited her personally
Iñigo Pascual made a fan extremely special and happy when he mounted a concert for her treatment. Iñigo invited some firneds to perform for the said concert for Arnie Espina who has a leukemia.
In a previous report by KAMI, it was last year when Iñigo met her personally. Piolo's son visited him personally and inspired her to keep fighting for her life.
Over 200 fans showed up at Historia Boutique Bar and Restaurant for the benefit concert.
"Sobrang na-move niya ako. I did not know that a simple song could have a different meaning to someone. Nung na-meet ko siya, I did not know what to expect. I didn't know how to talk to her. Ano ba 'yung tamang sasabihin sa batang may condition na 'di natin alam na nangyayari. We live our lives, we do the things that we want pero 'di natin narerealize na madaming bata na hindi nila nagagawa 'yun because of their condition, because of the sickness that they have. So ako parang part ng pagiging grateful ko sa buhay I wanted to really take the time and use it to help them or in a way make them feel na maraming nagmamahal sa kanila," Iñigo said.
Aside from being a fan, Iñigo had a more personal reason why he extend this enormous efforts for Arnie.
"Arnie has a very special place in my heart because my lola had the same leukemia as her. So nung nalaman ko 'yun parang I felt more connected to her. Mas personal. Even my mom, my dad has been very, very supportive of us," he explained.
Among the artists who performed were John Roa, Dane Hipolito, Ryle Santiago, Volts Vallejo and Michan.
"'Yung mga artists tinanong namin sila if they're willing to perform. And a lot of them open-heartedly said yes. And nakakatuwa kasi I did not expect kasi natakot ako who can we invite, who can we ask to perform tonight. Siyempre may sari-sarili din silang mga trabaho and to really give their time and talent, sobrang nakakatuwa," he said.
All proceeds of the benefit show will go directly to Arnie Espina and will be used for her chemotherapy.
Iñigo Pascual is the son of Piolo Pascual with a non-showbiz girl. Like his father he also excelled in singing. He recorded songs like Dahil Sa'yo, the first number one song on Billboard Philippines' then-new Philippine Top 20 chart.
