Facebook, makikipagtulungan sa pagsugpo ng "fake news" sites kaugnay sa eleksyon 2019

- Nangako ang Facebook na makikiisa sa pagbabahagi ng totoo at maasahang mga balita kaugnay sa Election 2019

- Naglalayon di umano ito na panatilihin ang integridad ng darating na eleksyon at makapaghatid ng makatotohanang balita

- Sisiguraduhin ng Facebook na di uubra ang mga "fake news" sites lalo na sa darating ng midterm election ngayong taon

Isa ang Facebook sa makikipatulungan na maghatid ng makatotohanang balita kaugnay sa 2019 mid-term elections.

Ayon sa Yahoo Philippines, mangunguna sila sa pagsugpo ng mga posibleng 'fake news' sites na maaring dumami kaugnay sa darating na eleksyon sa Mayo ngayong taon.

“We’ve been learning from every election. We think we absolutely learned a lot from the 2016 elections here in the Philippines. And we’ve been working with many partners since then to better understand sort of what happened then, and the systems and things we need to be putting into place to make sure we can protect the integrity of these elections and all future elections," ito ang pahayag ni Katie Harbath, Facebook’s director of Global Politics and Government Outreach Team.

Isa raw ang Facebook na sisiguro sa isang makabuluhan at makatotohanan na paghahatid ng balita tungkol sa eleksyon ng bansa.

“We are committed to tackling all kinds of inauthentic behavior and abuse on our platform, which we know often intensify during elections – from misinformation, misrepresentation and foreign interference, to phishing, harassment and violent threats – and we have dedicated teams working on every upcoming election around the world,” dagdag pa ni Katie.

Makikipagtulungan ang Facebook sa Comelec kaugnay ng online safety lalo at nang magamit ang platform sa epektibo at positibong paraan.

Sisiguraduhin di di umano ng FB na mananagot ang sino man ang lalabag sa kanilang patakaran.

Tinatayang nasa 1.5 billion na 'fake' sites ang natanggal na umano ng Facebook sa kanilang platform noon pa lamang 2018.
