A photo circulated online claiming that opposition Senator Antonio Trillanes was wearing a shirt with President Rodrigo Duterte’s nickname “DU30” on it when he arrived in Davao City. However, KAMI learned that this claim is false.
The photo was uploaded on January 17 in a Facebook group supporting Duterte’s ally—Alan Peter Cayetano. In the caption it said, “Pumunta lang ng Davao naka DU30 ka na. Pero kung batikusin mo Pangulo wagas.”

However, according to the reverse image search by a French news agency, Agence French-Presse (AFP), the photo was altered.
The original photo was posted by News5 on Facebook when he arrived in Davao, the hometown of President Duterte. It can be seen that there was no “DU30” written on his shirt.
Another video by ABS-CBN News showed that there was no nickname of President Duterte on the top worn by Sen. Trillanes.
As reported by KAMI before, Trillanes went to Davao for the first time since he was declared as “persona non grata” there. Trillanes faced the libel case filed against him by Presidential son and former vice mayor of Davao, Paolo Duterte and his brother-in-law Atty. Mans Carpio.
