Ice Seguerra undergoes procedure to have baby with wife Liza Diño

Ice Seguerra and his wife Liza Diño have taken a big step towards their dream to have a baby of their own.
KAMI learned that Ice’s eggs were harvested for In Vitro Fertilization (IVF).
The singer’s egg will be manually combined with a sperm from a donor in a laboratory and then Liza will be the surrogate.
“Today is THE DAY. Ice's eggs are going to be harvested after a 12-day ‘turok sa lubot’ (bu+t injection) process.
“I’m here at the waiting room, and ngayon lang sya nagsisink-in sa akin. We are really doing it!!! And today marks the first phase in our journey to have a baby. For the last 12 days, I tried to normalize everything. I went with him sa first day ng injection nya but after that, we both went back to our daily routine and isang beses ko na lang ulit sya nasamahan. It's not because I'm not excited, we've been looking forward to this since the time we got married although laging nadedelay or kapos kami sa funds so kahit sinasabi ko na mangyayari sya, parang dream lang. Parang pinoproject mo lang yung pangarap mo. But within the walls of this clinic, may navalidate ako sa sarili ko today...may fear ako sa hospitals. Grabe yung aversion ko. Ang lamig ng pawis ko ngayon and sitting here right now sa waiting room, while he's inside, I'm asking myself if I ever made him feel that I wasn't there enough kasi di ko sya nasasamahan.
“But I'm so proud of him. Sobra. When we had our check up and we finally made that decision na this is the right time sobrang full on commitment ang binigay nya. Since last year October, Ice has been preparing himself for this day. He started taking Estrogen pills to prepare his body for the process. Sya lang yata ang transman na nagtetake ng estrogen (hahaha!) but he is determined, WE are both determined that we're going to try to fulfill our wish to have a new member sa family, Amara's wish to have a sibling and mommy C and Daddy D1cks wish na magkaroon ng sarili nilang apo. Ice has been very diligent sa pagtake ng pills nya. And ito ngang 12-day process na gawing pantay-pantay ang laki ng mga eggs niya, sobrang naging patient and optimistic sya.
“So please pray for us. Positivity and well wishes are super appreciated. Love you guys,” Liza wrote.
She also opened up about the difficulties they faced with this procedure:
“It wasn't easy actually. For the first 4 days, Ice's eggs are not growing and his right ovary is not producing eggs significant enough to be harvested so natakot kami ng slight kasi baka hindi enough yung maharvest and for a time ako yung natatakot na baka hindi magrespond yung body nya sa meds. But ito na nga, finally, nagstart mag grow ng eggs nung mga 6th until we got to this day. Sobrang salamat talaga Lord kasi naniniwala kami na if it's meant to be, mangyayari at mangyayari,” she revealed.
Liza also posted photos of her and Ice after the latter’s procedure:
“Ice, still groggy from the anesthesia after the egg retrieval process, finally opens his eyes and the first thing he says is ‘I'm hungry!’ Yup, he's awake na nga,” she posted.
Later on, she revealed that three healthy eggs were extracted from her spouse:
“Successful procedure!!! Thank you Lord.
“They were able to harvest 3 good eggs from Ice. Yung iba daw maliit na talaga. Tamad na daw kasi magproduce ng eggs ang ovaries ni Ice. Hala! Feeling ko narinig ng ovaries ni ice yungg sabi nya na ibebenta na nya kasi unused. Haha! But at least we were able to retrieve 3,” Liza stated.

In a previous report by KAMI, Liza revealed that she and Ice had some financial struggles when the latter became a government official.
Aiza or Ice Seguerra broke through in showbiz through the noontime variety program “Eat Bulaga.” The former child star tied the knot with Liza on December 8, 2014 in California, where samesex marriage is legal.
As for Liza, she has a child named Amara with her former partner.
