Viral Baby Sevy arrives in US for treatment

Baby Sevy went viral on social media for his battle against Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia since he was born. KAMI learned that Baby Sevy has arrived in United States for his treatment.

In a report by GMA News, Baby Sevy was accompanied by two doctors along with the medical equipment during an almost 24-hour flight going to Memphis, Tennessee.

The St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in Memphis will cover all the expenses for the treatment of Baby Sevy. He is currently going through blood transfusions and other tests before his chemotherapy.

Since his treatment will start, the parents of Baby Sevy are in need of more prayers that their little angel will survive the “real battle”.

"Ang dasal namin kayanin ito ni Sevy. Sa pagka-explain sa amin ng doctors, ang 12 months below ang chances nila doon is 20 percent. Hopefully kayanin ni Sevy 'yung paggagamot and ma-clear siya of all the Leukemia cells," said Dan Co, Baby Sevy’s father.

The parents of Sevy are thankful for those who helped them to make this opportunity happen. From those who helped them secure Baby Sevy’s US visa, passport, airline transportation, and those who keep praying for them

"Maraming salamat sa lahat ng tumulong sa amin. Agencies, tao, Facebook followers ng page ni Sevy. Natulungan niyo po akong madugtungan 'yung buhay ni Sevy at hindi po namin makakalimutan 'yun," Dan said as reported by GMA News.

In a previous report by KAMI, the parents of Baby Sevy asked for help to seek the little angel’s passport and US visa. The Department of Foreign Affairs immediately extended their help and released Baby Sevy’s passport just few days after.
