- The Boobay and Tekla Show (TBATS) is pitted against Gandang Gabi Vice of Vice Ganda
- Because of this, Super Tekla aired his opinion about this possible rivalry
- He mentioned that Vice is his good friend because they worked together before
Kapuso comedian Super Tekla bravely disclosed his thoughts regarding the fact that his show is pitted against the eight-year Gandang Gabi Vice (GGV) of Vice Ganda.
KAMI learned that the management of GMA-7 decided to put the online program entitled “The Boobay And Tekla Show (TBATS)” in the Sunday prime time bloc.
This only means that the aforementioned show of Super Tekla is directly the opposite of Vice’s comedy talk show that has become consistent in ratings.
Because of this, the Kapuso comedian clarified that he and the production crew of TBATS have no intention of going head-to-head with GGV.
He expressed that it is still the viewer’s choice that matters and Vice knows that they are both just doing their jobs.
"A, wala po kaming intensiyon na babanggain. Wala rin pong ganun (kalabanin). It happens (magkatapat), siguro management decision, wala po sa amin yung ganun,” he quipped in an interview with PEP.ph.
“Ano lang yung format lang. Yung tao naman ang mamimili. Trabaho lang dyusko, alam naman ni Meme (Vice) 'yan,” he added.
Meanwhile, Super Tekla revealed that the Phenomenal star of ABS-CBN is his close friend because they were co-workers.
However, he admitted that he is still nervous about the fact that TBATS' timeslot is completely the same with GGV.
“Me and Vice, Vice is a good friend of mine, kasi nagkakasama kasi sa isang company before, pareho kami ng circle of work, halos pareho ng background,” the comedian stressed.
“Sino bang hindi kabahan?” he added.
