Take note! 12 important things you need to know for Halalan 2019

The mid-term elections this 2019 is coming near. It is important to be prepared beforehand and take note of things you need to know before voting.

KAMI listed the necessary details as reported by Philippine News. Here are the 12 things you must not forget:

  1. Around 80% of the Senate aspirants are male. 130 out of 152 candidates are male, while only 22 are female as reported by Rappler.
  2. 50% of the Senate aspirants are running as independent candidates
  3. The average age for the Senate bets is between 58.76-year-old
  4. January 13 to June 12, 2019 – Election period and gun ban enforcement
  5. February 12, 2019 – Posting of the certified list of voters
  6. February 12 to May 11, 2019 – Campaign period for senators and party-list groups
  7. March 30 to May 11, 2019 – Campaign period for representatives and those seeking elective provincial, city, and municipal posts
  8. May 6 to 10, 2019 – Testing and sealing of VCMs in polling places in the country
  9. May 13, 2019 – Election Day
  10. May 13 to 16, 2019 – Count and canvass precinct results and proclaim winning city/municipal elective officials
  11. May 17 to 19, 2019 – Announcing of winners for senatorial, congressional, party-list, regional, and provincial elections
  12. Here are the following positions to be competed for Halalan 2019:
  • 12 Senators
  • 59 Partylist Representatives
  • 243 District Representatives
  • 81 Governors
  • 81 Vice Governors
  • 780 Provincial Board members
  • 145 City Mayors
  • 145 City Vice Mayors
  • 1,628 City Councilors
  • 1,489 Municipal Mayors
  • 1,489 Municipal Vice Mayors
  • 1 ARMM Governor
  • 1 ARMM Vice Governor
  • 24 ARMM Assemblymen

As previously reported by KAMI, there were 152 Senatorial aspirants who filed for their certificate of candidacy. On the other hand, 185 party-lists filed for their certificate of nomination.
