Alden Richards admitted that he and his onscreen partner, Maine Mendoza became closer when their phenomenal tandem separated.

"Mas close kami ngayon ni Maine, mas open kami to each other," he stated.

As reported by PEP.ph, Alden isn't sure about when they will have a comeback project together.

On the other hand, both of them have learned a lot from working independently.

"Nakakatuwa yung fans na talagang sobrang rooting for us pa rin, regardless po kung magkaiba kami ng tinatahak na career, as of the moment.
"Mas naging mature kaming dalawa ni Maine. Being in the industry, siya being here for almost four years, ako being on my eight year. Almost four years na rin yung AlDub, siguro we’ve matured in a lot of ways. Nakatulong talaga po yung paghihiwalay namin pansamantala. Marami kaming natutunan as individuals," he added.

When asked if what went wrong, the Kapuso actor just gave a short yet meaningful answer.

"I guess nothing went wrong. It’s just a matter of choices. I just leave it there.”
