Known for their fish skin snack, the Singapore-based manufacturer, IRVINS Salted Egg has issued an apology on social media. KAMI learned that the apology came after a customer shared photos of dead lizard she found in her fish skin snack pack as reported by GMA News.
“Quality control is one of the most important aspects of our company and we are always on our toes because our customers’ safety is everything to us,” said Irvin Gunawan, founder of IRVINS Salted Egg.
“We really want to sincerely apologize to the customer and everyone who is affected by this incident directly or indirectly. We take full responsibility for the goods that we sell and everything in it," he added.
Irvins also assured their customers and partners about fixing the issue and that they will continue to be honest and responsible to the people.
“This is a major blow to us, however we promise that we will fix this issue and continue to be an honest and responsible company to all of you. Rest assured that we are doing the best we could to serve our customers with the best quality & service nonetheless,” said Gunawan.

In a report by Rappler, a customer named Jane Holloway shared on Facebook that she found a dead lizard inside the snack pouch and the post went viral.
It has been reported that the company already reached out to the family to apologize and offer refund. Irvins also offered to pay for any medical bills if ever needed.
