Senator Manny Pacquiao’s opponent for his upcoming match, Adrien Broner was reported to be arrested in Florida. KAMI learned from ABS-CBN News that Broner faced a warrant of arrest for failing to appear in court this month.
In an exclusive report by TMZ, Broner was booked in a country jail and was released according to court records. Broner, also called as "The Problem", was involved in a case regarding his speeding, failure to show his driver’s license, car registration, and proof of insurance in December 2017.
Broner was arrested in 2017, ever since that, he did not appear in court. Therefore, another case was allegedly filed against him last July.
The TMZ also added that Broner was sued for an unpaid $1.152 worth of jewelry.
ABS-CBN News reported that Pacquiao is too busy for his training. During the Christmas day, Pacquiao was focused on training. This made Lydell Rhodes, Pacquiao’s sparring partner, happy for the boxing icon’s energy and determination.
Pacquiao and Broner are set to face on January 19 in Las Vegas. The People’s Champ is motivated to keep his 60-7-2 win-loss-draw.
