The sitcom “Home Sweetie Home” of the Kapamilya network finally broke its silence on the controversy it is facing regarding the K-Pop group “Super Junior.”
KAMI learned that the show made a public outrage after the characters of its cast described the said foreign group as “baduy” and that other groups are more popular today.
After a lot of netizens, especially the fans of K-Pop, demanded an apology from the sitcom, the “Home Sweetie Home” management issued some words addressing the controversy.
Here is the statement:
“Home Sweetie Home apologizes for a dialogue on our December 22 episode which has offended some of our Kapamilya Super Junior fans.
“We have high respect for SuJu and acknowledge that they are one of the first groups to pave the way for KPop Revolution in the PH.
“We intended to establish their seniority, but we admit that we should have used better terms to say it.
“We truly regret the mistake, and it's a learning experience for us. We will be better po next time. Maraming salamat po sa pag-unawa, and Merry Christmas, Kapamilya!”

Home Sweetie Home is a situational comedy show of ABS-CBN that airs every Saturday. The main casts include Toni Gonzaga and John Lloyd Cruz bit the latter was replaced by Piolo Pascual.
