Basketball is one of the sports most Filipinos are interested in. Just like any sport, sometimes games get too physical and end with a brawl.

Eric Camson vs. Raymond Almazan
Back in January, KIA’s big man Eric Camson and Rain or Shine’s center Raymond Almazan got involved in a physical fight during the second quarter of their PBA Philippine Cup 2018 game. As seen in the Youtube video uploaded by ESPN5, Camson elbowed Almazan which led them to a heated fist fight. Their teammates and some officials immediately went to stop the two players.
In a report by Spin.ph, Camson and Almazan were suspended for one game. However, Camson faced a P30,000 fine for instigating the accident. On the other hand, Almazan got a P20,000 fine. Camson insisted that the elbow incident was not intentional and he quickly regret his actions after the game.
Terrence Romeo vs. Reshawn McCarthy
In a previous report by KAMI, former Talk ‘N Text’s Terrence Romeo and Columbian Dyip’s Rashawn McCarthy was caught in a heated exchange during the PBA Governor’s Cup last September 3. It can be seen in the Youtube video by ESPN5 that Romeo and McCarthy was caught barking. Later on, Romeo served a headbutt to McCarthy.
Romeo said that it was nothing personal and that he is “friends” with McCarty. KAMI also reported before that Romeo got bashed by the netizens based on what happened and that the TNT player was caught cursing at his bashers.
Calvin Abueva vs. Kevin Murphy
Last October, Phoenix Fuel Masters’ Calvin Abueva and San Miguel Beermen’s Kevin Murphy got involved in a physical match during the 4th quarter of their game in PBA Governor’s Cup. ESPN5 uploaded on Youtube the video where it can be seen that Murphy choked and dragged “The Beast”, Abueva.
Murphy defended himself and said that he did not choke Abueva and that he was just “holding” The Beast. Murphy was given Foul Penalty 1 which Abueva contested to.
Renaldo Balkman vs. Joe Devance
During the halftime of Game Four in PBA Commissioner’s Cup, San Miguel Beermen’s Renaldo Balkman was seen pushing Barangay Ginebra’s Joe Devance on their way to their dugouts. Later on, their teammates went to stop them amidst the shoving.
As reported by ESPN5, Devance and Balkman just shrugged off the issue. Balkman made it clear that it was “nothing” and they were just “walking”. For Devance, it was “no big deal” and just a “little pushing”. He also added that it may be caused be the high emotions due to the championship game.
Terrence Romeo out of Talk ‘N Text
KAMI has reported before that according to an insider of Inquirer, seven players of Talk ‘N Text wanted Terrence Romeo out of their team. The source added that Romeo allegedly ruined the chemistry of TNT and that he got into fights with his teammates.
Romeo was reported to be traded to San Miguel Beermen in exchange of their back-up players, Brian Heruela and David Semerad.
