Miss Universe 2018 Catriona Gray came to conquer the universe as she isn't only well-prepared in her journey to win the most coveted crown among beauty pageants.

The 24-year-old famed beauty queen didn't only come with her beauty, bearing, brilliance, talent, and poise, as KAMI learned how she truly represented the country on the world stage.

She brought the entire nation to the world stage as every piece of accessories and outfits she wore in the duration of the Miss Universe 2018 beauty pageant hold special meaning and symbolism of the Philippine culture and heritage.

Catriona Gray didn't only charm the whole world, the universe, rather with her award-winning beauty queen look, but she represented the Philippines extremely well, as to how any beauty pageant representative should.

Apparently, she made it a point that she'll showcase in championing the excellence of Filipino craftsmanship, as to how cosmo.ph puts it, as well as promote the Philippines rich culture and heritage, and most of all, promote the Filipino designers.

So, without further ado, here are the top 11 outfits with accessories Miss Universe 2018 wore on the pageant duration.

1. The Modern T'nalak Fabric From The Land of the Dreamweavers, South Cotabato

Ang outfit na suot-suot niya sa National Thai Day habang nilibot niya ang mga media interviews sa Thailand bago ang coronation night ay hindi lang basta basta na pang OOTD snap dahil may importante itong simbolo.

"She pulled every string to proudly flaunt traditional T'nalak fabric on the world stage!"

Pagpatuloy pa ng IPOPHL:

"The T’nalak dress worn by Ms. Gray in her Entertainment Thailand interview and in the post-preliminary round media interviews is noteworthy because the cloth is being used following the guidelines of T’nalak Tau Sebu (TTS), a group of women weavers whose products bear a registered collective mark."

2. Thai silk white blouse and Ninofranco skirt with T'boli embroidery

Sa araw naman ng fitting day nila para sa Thai Silk dress para sa Thai night, suot-suot naman umano ni Catriona ang isang chic ensemble na binubuo ng white blouse na gawa sa Thai silk, para magbigay respeto at pugay sa host country.

Pinaresan niya ito ng skirt na gawa ng isang Pinoy designer Ninofranco na may T'boli embroidery.

3. From head to toe and the bag, featuring Filipino designers and symbolism

On her 2nd day, she doesn't only look good with her OOTD snap, but she can be as patriotic to the country she's representing.

From head to foot, as to how preview.ph puts it, ay may mga significant meaning o simbolo.

Ang strapless white dress ay gawa ng Pinoy designer na si Noel Crisostomo.

Her "pair of nude pointy-toed pumps" ay gawa naman daw ng Bicolano shoe designer na si Jojo Bragais.

At ang super cute niyang "round woven bag" na gawa sa natural rattan at may disenyo na bulaklak na Sampaguita, bilang ang national flower ng Pilipinas na nagsisimbolo ng "purity, simplicity, humility," at strength," ay gawa naman ng isa local brand na Calli.

4. "Mia Arcenas' Lahi denim jacket with the word kababayan embroidered at the back"

Sa isang field trip ng mga kandidata ng Miss U sa Siam Snail Eco Farm, suot-suot ni Cat ang "Mia Arcenas' Lahi denim jacket" na mayroon pang nakatahi na salitang "kababayan" sa likod.

5. Modern Filipina look with a locally designed bag

Ang rendisyon naman ni Cat ng modern Filipina kung saan ito rin ang damit niya gamit sa pag-introduce niya sa isang VTR ng Miss U.

Suot-suot ni Miss Universe 2018 ang damit na gawa ng isa pang Pinoy designer na si Charina Sarte at may pinaresan pa niya ng isang Aranaz bucket bag.

6. Thai-inspired jumpsuit

Suot-suot naman ni Catriona ang isang Thai-inspired jumpsuit na gawa ng isang Filipino designer na si Anthony Ramirez na pinaresan niya ng ornamental shell earrings mula sa Vida Lim jewelry.

7. Dalagang Pilipina modern terno and Ifugao skirt

Para naman sa premilinary interview, suot naman ni Catriona Gray ang isang modern terno ensemble na gawa ng isa pang Pinoy designer na si Jearson Demavivas.

Ani pa umano ng huli sa Preview:

"Catriona, as the visionary that she is, gave us the idea of what she wanted to wear. She said she wanted Philippine tapestry."

At ang kanyang camisaya at saya outfit is 100% pure and original na mula sa mga authentic local materials na gawa ng ating native tribes.

Ang kanyang orange top na gawa sa terno's signature butterfly sleeves umano ay handweaved ng Inabels ng Ilocos, habang ang kanyang skirt na gawa sa Kalinga fabric ay nagmula naman daw sa Isnags ng Apayao.

8. Pinya silk top and more Filipino craftsmanship

Isa rin sa paboritong outfits ni Catriona, ayon na rin sa kanya, ay ang nasa taas.

Ang kanyang top ay isang handmade burda callado Pinay silk ng Lumban, Laguna na gawa pa rin ng isang Pinoy designer.

At ang kanyang belt ay mula pa rin sa T'nalak fabric at isang hand painted Sampaguita skirt mula pa rin sa isang Pinoy designer.

9. Ibong Adarna Inspired Gown

Ang kanyang evening gown na rinampa naman sa preliminary ng Miss U ay inspired sa Ibong Adarna na gawa naman ni Mak Tumang, na nagsisimbolo ng "resilience, rising, and rebirth," bilang ikinikompara ito sa mythological Phoenix.

Ang kanyang mga hikaw (earrings) ay disenyo lang naman niya ay nagsisimbolo sa Philippine sun sa bandila ng bansa at golden South sea pearls, ang national gem ng bansa.

10. LuzViMinda National Costume

Sa kanyang national costume ay pinagsama-sama ng mga magagaling mga Pinoy designers at artists ang buong Pilipinas.

11. The Stunning Lava Evening Gown

Ang winning look naman ni Catriona Gray sa evening gown competition sa coronation night na gawa pa rin ng Pinoy designer na si Mak Tumang ay nagsisimbolo sa Mayon Volcano sa Bicol, kung saan rin galing sa Cat, na kinikilala bilang mayroong "perfect cone."

At ayon pa sa mga kwento ng mga sinaunang panahon ang pangalan raw ng bulkan ay mula sa mythological heroine na si "Daragang Magayon" na ang ibig sabihin ay "Beautiful Lady."

At siyempre ang kanyang signature ear cuff na disenyo din niya.

Nagsimula ang pangarap ni Catriona Gray na maging isang beauty queen noong 5 years old pa lang siya sa 1999 Little Miss Philippines sa Eat Bulaga.
