Marco Gumabao breaks his silence on Diego Loyzaga’s sudden exit in Los Bastardos

Kapamilya actor Marco Gumabao finally spoke up about the issue of co-star Diego Loyzaga who suddenly exited in their afternoon drama series entitled “Los Bastardos.”

KAMI learned that Diego was not anymore seen on the said show as reports said that he was rushed into the hospital for allegedly attempting to take his life.

There were also allegations that the young actor is depressed and he needed to be brought to a rehabilitation facility in Cubao.

The family of the 23-year-old celebrity has neither confirmed nor denied the accusations thrown against Diego.

In an interview with PEP.ph, it was Marco who broke his silence regarding the controversy that his co-star is currently facing.

He initially confirmed that the actor will not return to “Los Bastardos” as his character was already killed in the television series.

The former Love U star also recalled how he and the other casts found out that Diego will not attend tapings anymore.

"If you ask me kung nagkaroon ba ng signs sa taping, wala. Sobrang gulat na gulat ako. I found out kasi through his make-up artist. Parang sinabi niya sa akin, ‘Kuya, hindi na makakapag-taping si Diego,’” Marco narrated.

"So, akala ko, 'Anong nangyari? Anong ginawa niya? May kaaway ba siya sa staff?'” he added.

Immediately after knowing the issue, the young celebrity called Jake Cuenca and Albie Casino on the phone to talk about what the news said.

He stated that it was not easy for them to accept that their co-actor was needed to be taken out of the afternoon show.

"Tinawagan ko na sina Jake (Cuenca) at Albie (Casiño), nag-usap-usap kami, lahat kami natataranta. It was, like, 2am, 'tapos may taping kami ng 7am that same day, so we were all worried, we were scared kung anong mangyayari,” he quipped.

"Siyempre, lima kaming magkakapatid dito and you’d tell us, mababawasan kami ng isa? It was really also hard for us to accept na wala na talaga yung isang kapatid namin,” he added.

Because of what they found out, Marco gave his brotherly message to Diego, saying that he is always there should the young actor needs his help.

He also emphasized that he supports Diego if he wants to isolate himself to the world temporarily to cope with what he is experiencing.

"So if he wants na ihiwalay muna niya ang sarili niya from the world, go for it, because kanya-kanyang way of coping 'yan,” he said.

"Magkakaibigan tayo, matagal na. I’m here for you, I pray for you, and I wish you well. At sana, magkasama pa tayo,” he added.
