Former NBA player Lamar Odom announced on his Instagram account that he will be making a comeback in professional basketball. KAMI learned that this time, Odom will be representing the Philippine team Mighty Sports in Dubai International Basketball Championship as reported by Philippine Star.

“I'd like to announce that I will be playing in The Dubai International Basketball Championship this February 1st 2019 !!!!!!!” Odom said on his Instagram post.

“I will be representing team @mightysports_ph from the Philippines with my 4ever #7!” he added.

Odom is hopeful to bring back his mad skills in the court after years of hiatus and recovery.

“To me this is a great warming up for the @thebig3 !! It's been a minute since I've professionally competed and I hope to be as explosive as I used to be! I was hoping to be ready for the Chinese CBA earlier this year but I didn't feel that I was physically were I wanted to be. ( yet) I needed more time to recover from my multiple strokes and hearts attacks,” Odom stated

Born on November 6, 1979, Odom was first drafted in NBA back in 1999. He used to play for Los Angeles Clippers, Los Angeles Lakers, Miami Heat and Dallas Mavericks.

In 2014, Odom played for New York Knicks, however, he did not play in the season finale and was waived by the team in July 2014. Odom won two NBA championships. He was also named as NBA Sixth Man of the Year in 2011.

Odom had been recovering from multiple strokes and heart attacks since 2014.

Odom was also known as the former long-term partner of Hollywood A-list star Khloe Kardashian.
