- Actress Ethel Booba made a hilarious comment about Catriona Gray’s answer in Miss Universe
- The beauty queen mentioned Tondo, Manila and something about “silver lining”
- Ethel immediately expressed her funny opinion about the said words
Filipina comedienne Ethel Booba once again made fun of a trending topic, this time regarding the winning answer of Catriona Gray in Miss Universe 2018.
KAMI learned that as soon as the Pinay beauty queen threw the much-talked-about answer, the actress already posted on her social media account about her funny opinion.
Catriona was asked in the final three about the lesson she learned in life and how she would apply it if ever she wins Miss Universe.
The Bicolana model mentioned her advocacy in Tondo, Manila and also the word “silver lining” which caused a lot of people to react including Ethel.
Here is the answer of the newly-crowned Miss Universe:
“I work a lot in the slums of Tondo, Manila and the life there is very... it's poor and it's very sad. I've always taught myself to look for the beauty in it, to look in the beauty of the faces of the children and to be grateful. And I would bring this aspect as a Miss Universe to see situations with a silver lining, and to assess where I could give something, where I could provide something as a spokesperson.
“And this, I think, if I could teach also people to be grateful, we could have an amazing world where negativity could not grow and foster, and children will have a smile on their faces. Thank you.”
Because of this, Ethel made a hilarious post targeting the trending answer of Catriona during the prestigious pageant.
She expressed that she lived in Tondo, Manila for quite a long time but she never heard of any “silver lining” in that place.
The comedienne even asked if the Pinay beauty queen was referring to a “foil” when she mentioned that word.
“Tagal kong tumira dyan sa Tondo di ko nabalitaan yang silver lining. Foil ba yan? Charot!” Ethel wrote.
In a previous article by KAMI, the mind-boggling cost of Catriona’s gowns was unveiled by her designer Mak Tumang.
Ethel Booba, or Ethyl Gabison in real life, is a Filipina actress who was born on December 17, 1976. She is also an author whose work, #Charotism: The Wit and Wisdom of Ethel Booba, had been published in 2016.
