Doctors published a study which tackled how drinking one medication during pregnancy could adversely affect babies.

KAMI learned that a mom has given birth to a baby without any skin.

In fact, the mother admitted that during her pregnancy, she has already noticed certain abnormalities.

For one, as compared to other babies, her baby's gestational weight was not normal.

The baby was born without nails, eyelashes, eyebrows or even a single strand of hair, as per The Journal of the Pakistan Medical Association.

She does not also have fully-developed ears and her blood vessels could be seen.

Her weight was only 1.02 kg with a head circumference way smaller than other newborns.

The baby was brought to the Intensive Care Unit, however, despite immediate care, she succumbed to her condition and passed away four days after.

It was discovered that the baby had dermatitis aplasia, where one does not have skin from birth.

According to The Asian Parent, the mother admitted of contracting the autoimmune disease pemphigus vulgaris.

Because of the excruciating pain patients feel, the mom took prednisone and azathioprine.

Taking this during pregnancy proves fatal to the fetus.

It increases premature labor as well. Congenital defects have been assessed to and can affect different parts or organs of the body.
