Former Senator Ramon “Bong” Revilla Jr. faced the public for the first time since he was released from Camp Crame. KAMI learned from GMA News that Revilla delivered his speech during the flag ceremony of Bacoor, Cavite’s city hall.
Revilla reiterated that he did not steal any penny from the public and it was proven by the court. He also shared the process he went through for his case.
“'Yan nga ang napatunayan ng hukuman na wala kong ninakaw ni sentimo mula sa taumbayan,” said Revilla.
“Pero sabi nga, ang paglilinis ng pangalan kailangang dumaan at mapasailalim sa proseso. Para kang nagpapanday ng asero na kailangang padaanin sa nagbabagang apoy,” he added.
In a report by Inquirer, Revilla shared his experience in jail, spending time with cockroaches and rats as big as cats.
“Alam niyo, nakakapanibago talaga. Nasanay ako sa Camp Crame na kasama ko yung mga ipis, mga daga, na halos kasing laki ng pusa,” he said.
As previously reported by KAMI, Revilla was found “not guilty” by anti-graft court of Sandiganbayan of his plunder case with regard to the P224.5 million pork barrel. He was released from Camp Crame after four years.
