- The Director of “Pamilya Roces” revealed that they cannot beat the ratings of “Halik”
- This is despite the number of promising artists who are part of the show
- Because of this, the Kapuso teleserye will have to cut the airing short
The Director of the Kapuso drama series “Pamilya Roces” admitted that his show is having a hard time defeating its rival which is “Halik.”
KAMI learned that the two teleseryes, which have an almost similar plot about infidelity, were pitted against each other in the primetime bloc.
However, Direk Joel Lamangan revealed that the GMA show will already bid its goodbye on the national television as it is going near its final airing.
This, he said, is because of not being able to catch up with the rating of “Halik” which remains to be one of the trending shows in Philippine TV.
The filmmaker also disclosed that “Pamilya Roces” is originally scheduled to air for 10 weeks but it will be cut short if the ratings are still low.
“Naka-design talaga siya na 10 (weeks), kaya 10 na lang kami. Kasi, talo kami ng Halik,” Direk Joel quipped in an interview with PEP.ph.
“Noong una, mahina ang Halik. Kalaban niya, Inday (Will Always Love You). Ang Inday ang mataas noon. Nang pumasok na kami, nagha-heighten na sila, kami naman ngayon ang nag-suffer,” he added.
In a previous article by KAMI, “Pamilya Roces” star Carla Abellana spoke up about the rivalry between the Kapamilya show and the teleserye that she is in.
Pamilya Roces is a Kapuso telebabad series which premiered on October 8, 2018. According to AGB Nielsen, the show’s pilot episode had a 7.4% rating while its highest percentage was earned by its November 22 episode at 9.4%.
