- Andi sees what she is doing as a way to wean her daughter from growing up spoiled
Celebrity mom Andi Manzano enthusiastically shared the unique way for her daughter Olivia to get new toys and even throw big parties on special events.
KAMI learned that the former DJ does not want to spoil Olivia as she must first do something in order to get what she wants.
Andi revealed that she teaches her adorable daughter the concept of ”Give a toy, get a new toy” so that she will not grow up entitled.
Whenever the cute child asks for something in stores, the celebrity mom said it is already given that Olivia must donate her other toys to the children in need.
"Once you start them young, and then you really set the foundation, it’s just being kind, caring, that there’s joy even in the simplest things. It doesn't have to be always grand," she quipped in an interview with PEP.ph.
“It’s as simple as letting her understand that she can’t easily have everything she asks. Like recently, I said, 'If you want a toy, you have to give a toy,'" she added.
Meanwhile, with regards to throwing big parties, Andi explained that their pattern must be alternate – a big party and a charity work next.
One example was the gender reveal party that they organized where the façade of a huge building served as the canvass for the trending announcement. Andi followed the event with a baby shower at Fabella Hospital’s maternity ward.
"Yes, I’m with her every day. So I think it helps also that she sees what I do…” the former DJ expressed.
"And there’s this parang balance na, for example, you had a huge party, your next would be for charity," she added.
In a previous article by KAMI, the details of Andi’s charity work at the Dr. Jose Fabella Memorial Hospital were reported.
Andi gained popularity after being a disc-jockey at FM radio station Magic 89.9. She is also a relative of distinguished showbiz personalities including Edu Manzano, Luis Manzano, and Gary Valenciano.
