Veteran singer Jaya bravely released some statements about the allegations that Regine Velasquez is receiving a VIP treatment on the noontime show, “ASAP Natin To.”

KAMI learned that the rumors sparked after netizens noticed that the Asia’s Songbird often has several appearances in a single episode of the said variety program.

Since the show’s reformatting on November 23, Regine has evidently had more exposures than other artists or performers in ABS-CBN.

However, for Queen of Soul Jaya, the management and the Asia’s Songbird just want to bring happiness to thousands of viewers of ASAP Natin To.

She also quashed the rumors that she is jealous of her fellow artist since she transferred to the Kapamilya network way earlier than Regine.

"You know, itong trabaho namin, pare-pareho kami na gusto namin makapagpasaya ng tao, to sing, and share what we have as singers,” Jaya quipped in an interview with PEP.ph.

"Personally, I'm never jealous or envious because I know she also supports us. We all support one another… Talent ito, e. Ibinigay sa amin ito,” she added.

The soul music singer explained that all the artists have different spotlights and they just have to be grateful come those opportunities.

She even gave some pieces of advice to her fellow singers to be thankful if they are still given projects after so many years of being in the entertainment industry.

"Hindi mo puwedeng sabihing nakakainggit or nakakaano, kasi iba yun, e. You can't compare. We all have different achievements, we have our own moments under the sun. Yun na nga lang, e, grateful kami,” Jaya stated.

"And I'm sure it's the same for them. We all have this feeling na, 'Nakaabot tayo! Oh my goodness, rumaratsada pa rin tayo! Huwag na tayong umarte!' Just sing and sing and sing, until wala na, until our last breath, just sing,” she added.

In a previous article by KAMI, the veteran singer also spoke up about the rant of actor Janno Gibbs versus the Kapamilya network.

Born on March 21, 1970, Jaya is a Filipino record producer who is now part of the “Tawag Ng Tanghalan” segment of It’s Showtime where she is one of the judges.
