Kapuso actor Rodjun Cruz finally spoke up about the hot controversy that his family is facing in relation to the much-talked-about flash mob during Teejay Cruz’ wake.
KAMI learned through a video that several family members and friends participated in the bizarre act which was even led by Teejay’s father Tirso Cruz III.
They decided to sing and dance to the rhythm of a worship song entitled "Every Praise” by Hezekiah Walker during the last night of the wake.
This attracted a lot of negative reactions on social media as some netizens questioned why Teejay’s relatives seemed to be enjoying the night instead of mourning.
Other social media users also struck and suggested that there were other worship songs that could have been used which do not require lively steps to show respect to the corpse.
Recently, Rodjun defended his relatives for the unusual flash mob that happened in the supposedly solemn event.
The actor initially expressed that he did not know that the act will be bashed online since for him, the celebratory mood was positive.

Additionally, he emphasized that Teejay’s death is painful for the Cruz family so they needed to rejoice because his struggles had finally come to an end.
"Yun nga, hindi ko alam na may nang-bash. Kasi sa akin, puro naman positive. Maraming nagsasabi grabe daw yung pag-praise kay Lord, ang faith kay Lord,” Rodjun quipped in an interview with PEP.ph.
"Pero siyempre, mami-miss natin si Teejay, tsaka yung sakit dun, kasi siyempre alam natin si Teejay nasa heaven na. So, kailangan din natin mag-rejoice sa life niya and, siyempre, dun din naman tayo pupunta,” he added.
The current Daddy’s Gurl cast explained that the worship song used in the flash mob was actually Teejay’s favorite.
Moreover, the uncommon act itself was the personal request of his cousin since Teejay loved to dance.
And sobrang bait talaga ni Teejay,” he added.

In a previous article by KAMI, actor Edu Manzano struck back at bashers who unhesitatingly criticized the celebratory mood at Teejay’s wake.
Rodjun, or Rodolfo Othello Cruz Illustre, Jr. in real life, was born on October 10, 1987. He is an actor in the Kapuso network and also a relative of Teejay who passed away on November 21 because of lymphatic cancer.
