Kapamilya veteran singers Gary Valenciano and Martin Nievera have been noticeably absent in some of the episodes of the newly-reformatted “ASAP Natin ‘To!”
KAMI learned that a lot of netizens alleged that the two have also been ousted from the noontime variety show just like Zsazsa Padilla and other stars.
Recently, Gary’s wife and manager Angelie Pangilinan took a swipe regarding the two singers’ absence.
She cleared that both of them were not removed from the show since Gary was able to perform during its first episode.
The loving wife just explained that the reason behind his husband’s exclusion from the November 25 episode was because he needed to take a rest.
It can be remembered that the veteran singer underwent a heart surgery few months ago and also admitted to battling with kidney cancer.
“Gary was supposed to guest in @ASAPOFFICIAL today but we requested for a rest because of his #AwitAtLaro intense November schedule. He was really not supposed to be on ASAP Natin ‘To today,” Angelie wrote in a Twitter post.
She even disclosed that Gary will only be taking part in ASAP for two Sundays per month because of his much-needed rest and time with family.
Meanwhile, iconic musician Martin has yet to be seen on the ASAP stage ever since its program reformatting.
Angelie quipped that the singer is currently in an out-of-town trip that was why he was not part of the first two episodes.
"Meantime Martin is in Europe which is why he has been absent. Netizens pls relax,” she revealed.
"Always remember that Martin has family in the US so he is there normally once a month. Fans need also to understand the priorities of the artists,” she added.
In a previous article by KAMI, it was reported that Zsazsa and Toni Gonzaga were not mentioned in the newly-formatted ASAP Natin ‘To which drew speculations of being ousted.
