- President Rodrigo Duterte left a remark about cutting off a bishop’s head
- He also accused a bishop for being involved in illegal drugs
- However, Bishop David denied these accusations
During in his speech, President Rodrigo Duterte threatened a bishop that he would cut off his head once the President proved that the bishop is really selling drugs.
“Bishop, kapag magpabili ka ng droga paputulan kita ng ulo,” President Duterte said as reported by Inquirer.
Later on, KAMI learned that during his speech at the groundbreaking of Davao City Bulk Water Supply Project last Monday, President Duterte mentioned a “Bishop David” that he accused of being involved in illegal drugs.
“I'm telling you, David. Nagdududa nga ako bakit sige ikot 'yan ng gabi. Nagduda tuloy ako p***** i** nasa droga ka," President Duterte stated.
In a report by ABS-CBN News, Bishop Pablo David responded to the accusations of President Duterte against him.
“I only take vitamins with fruit shake blended with malunggay in the morning,” said the Bishop.
“You might want to try it, Sir. It will do you a lot of good. God bless you,” he added.
Bishop David is one of the vocal critics of President Duterte most especially when it comes to his “war on drugs”. As he wrote on his Facebook page, “I only help in rehabilitating people addicted to drugs.”
In a recent report by KAMI, President Duterte threw tirades against the Catholic Church. Despite being friends with some priests, President Duterte attacked some bishops and urged the members of Catholic Church to build their own chapels at home instead of going to church.
