It finally came, the time when Lakers faced Cavaliers. Despite the recent transfer of the “King” Lebron James to Los Angeles Lakers, his former team Cleveland Cavaliers expressed their love and gratitude to the All-Star player. KAMI learned from ESPN that during the first time-out in the first quarter, Cavaliers played a video tribute for James.
The former home court of James welcomed him with cheers and standing ovation. They couldn’t be more thankful for everything James had done for their team in the past years.
James got emotional when he got the chance to talk with former teammate and friend, Cavaliers’ Tristan Thompson. The two were seen hugging and sharing sentiments after the game.
James also shared his experience when he was welcomed by his former home. He shared that he appreciate the fans and their support.
“I was already blessed and thankful for that moment right there and to come here tonight,” James quipped.
“I appreciate these fans as much as they appreciate me,” he added.
The game ended with a victory for Lakers, 109-105. James also performed well with 32 points, 14 rebounds and 7 assists.
As previously reported by KAMI, James also defeated his former team Miami Heat last November 19. James used to play for Heat in years 2010 to 2014. However, he used to play for Cavaliers for 11 years, from 2003 to 2010 and then 2014 to 2018.
