Coco Martin personally attended to the invitation of DILG and Philippine National Police (PNP) in Camp Crame to resolve their concerns about his action-drama series 'FPJ's Ang Probinsyano', on November 21.
As reported by ABS-CBN news, the Kapamilya star along with some of the executives of ABS-CBN had a discussion with the DILG secretary Eduardo Año.
Fortunately, because of the meeting, both sides were heard. The DILG Assistant Secretary Jonathan Malaya also said that everything was reconciled and they also assured that they will take no legal actions against the TV network.
They also clarified that changing the plot of the show isn't their plan.
"Walang sinabi ang ABS-CBN na, 'Sige, babaguhin namin ang kuwento.' Ipinaliwanag lang ng side ng DILG at PNP 'yong concern namin, at pinaliwanag din naman nila na wala silang intensiyong dungisan ang imahe ng kapulisan," Sec. Jonathan said.
ABS-CBN just issued a joint statement between them and the DILG to the public to let everyone know about their agreements.
Furthermore, the PNP spokesperson Chief Superintendent Benigno Durana Jr., was also interviewed in DZMM and disclosed the upcoming scheduled meeting that will be held between them together with PNP chief Director General Oscar Albayalde and Coco's team.
"There was an agreement to move forward positively towards a direction where we can compromise, both beneficial to the Philippine National Police and 'Ang Probinsyano'."
"Hopefully, magkaroon ng finality," Durana added.
