- Their love story is one that depicts how love is something that is truly worth fighting for
- It was Lindsay's marriage to Julius that caused the former to say goodbye to the glitz and glamour of showbiz
Lindsay Custodio and Julius Caesar Platon II's love story is one for the books. It depicts how love means a sacrifice of oneself.
KAMI learned that by December of this year, the couple would have celebrated their 18 years of togetherness, but circumstances simply overtook them.
The former Tanauan City Vice Mayor passed away at a young age of 40.
Looking back, one could say that it was Julius' love who made Lindsay think twice whether to go on with her career in showbiz.
According to PEP, their love story started with being phone pals.
Having been introduced by a common friend, the two communicated.
Then the actress asked for a sign before their very first meeting. The sign was the white shirt.
If Julius would be wearing white, then he's "the one," and if not, then nada.
So when they met, he wore a black outfit, but when it rained, he took it off and there was a white shirt underneath.
And the rest as they say is history, such that in May 3, 2000, Julis asked the actress to marry him.
At the time, Lindsay was just 22, and had a really good career as an actress and singer.
However, love conquered fame. The actress left the glitz and glamour of showbiz and settled down.
In December 2000, Lindsay and Julius had two wedding ceremonies - civil and church.
They have two children and have shown everyone how strong their marriage was.
The couple even attended the celebration of Jolina's 40th birthday at Okada's Cove Manila.
Lindsay and Julius shared so much love as proven by their almost 18 years of being a couple.
It was indeed a love worth fighting for!
