Filipinos give ‘poor’ trust ratings to China as PH welcomes Pres. Xi Jinping

China flags were seen along Roxas Boulevard waving with Philippine flags as our country welcomes Chinese President Xi Jinping for a state visit. KAMI learned that Xi visited the country to sign deals and agreements that could strengthen the relationship between China and Philippines.

In a report by Rappler, Filipinos gave “poor” trust ratings to China. In a recent result of Social Weather Stations (SWS) survey released two hours before the visit of China’s President. They had a -16 net trust ratings from the Filipinos. However, United States has a very good +59 net trust ratings and +28 for Japan.

According to SWS, those who gave lower rate to China are those who know the issue regarding West Philippine Sea and South China Sea.
