Regine Velasquez didn't lie that she became too proud of herself back then. She shared it in Tonight With Boy Abunda on Thursday.

When she got into details, it was 2015 when she had her 25th anniversary and she entirely lost her golden voice during the concert.

Prior to that, she really wanted to prove to everyone that she's still as good as she was before. So she became too confident to sing the hardest songs that she has been singing even before.

"I completely lost my voice. I've never experienced that."
"You know what I realized kase? During that time, ang yabang ko eh."
"I wanted kasi to prove to everyone that I still have it."
"Because people were saying na, 'she probably won't be able to sing anymore'. She's lost it."
"So ang yabang ko na, parang ah ganon ah? Talagang lahat ng mahirap na kanta, kakantahin ko that day, she said."

The Asia's Song Bird also opened up how that struggle taught something very important to her.

"I think I forgot the reason why I was celebrating my 25th year."
"I thought I was there to prove to everyone that hey I can still sing."
"Hindi ko nakuha yung the point of celebrating my 25th year.

Regine shared why that concert became the most remarkable concert for her.

It is because that was the time when she finally figured out the main reason for celebrating her 25th anniversary as an artist.

It was when her fans didn't leave her during that tough time.

"You know Tito Boy, to this day, it's still the most memorable concert for me."
"Because even though I didn't have a voice, my audience didn't leave me.They were singing my songs. They were all singing for me because I couldn't."
"Right there and then, I realized 'this is why I'm celebrating my 25th year. I'm celebrating with these people who have been with me since the beginning of time."
"So humbling," Regine added.
