Duterte approves 17 more holidays around Philippines

- President Rodrigo Duterte has signed Republic Acts last October 30 and November 8

- He declared 17 more holidays around the Philippines

- Most of these are founding anniversaries of the provinces

President Rodrigo Duterte has signed various Republic Acts which declared more holidays around the Philippines. KAMI learned from ABS-CBN News that there were 17 more holidays added as announced by the Palace.

Here are the added holidays signed by Duterte on October 30 and November 8:

March 24 – Special non-working holiday in Ligao City, Albay

April 3 – Special non-working holiday in Albay

May 22 – Special non-working holiday in Guimaras

June 16 – Special non-working holiday in Villanueva, Misamis Oriental

June 17 – Special non-working holiday in Agusan del Sur

June 27 – Special non-working holiday in El Salvador City, Misamis Oriental

July 4 – Special non-working holiday in Lanao del Norte

July 4 – Special non-working holiday in Cadiz, Negros Occidental

September 2 – Special non-working holiday in Ifugao

September 7 – Special non-working holiday in Cavite City

September 17 – Special non-working holiday in Los Baños, Laguna

September 21 – Special non-working holiday in Cebu City (Cebu Press Freedom Day)

November 2 – Special non-working holiday in Misamis Occidental

November 15 – Special non-working holiday in Occidental Mindoro

November 22 – Special non-working holiday in Sultan Kudarat

December 1 – Special non-working holiday in Padre Garcia, Batangas

December 8 – Special non-working holiday in Agoo, La Union
