One of the sponsors of Miss Earth 2018 who is accused of sexually harassing some of the pageant candidates finally spoke up about the heavy allegations thrown against him.

KAMI learned that Miss Earth contestants Jaime VandenBerg of Canada, Emma Mae Sheedy of Guam, and Abbey-Anne Gyles-Brown of Britain recently revealed that they were harassed by a sponsor from Manila Yacht Club.

The beautiful ladies were referring to Amado Cruz who allegedly asked for sexual favors and even called one of the candidates for her hotel and room number.

"It did not work. (But) he showed up at almost all of my events telling me he could take care of my needs and asked for sexual favours in exchange to get me further in the pageant," VenderBerg wrote on her Instagram post.

On November 9, Amado finally released some statements to the public falsifying the accusations against him by the aforementioned candidates.

He explained that his aim is just to help the pageant in promoting the tourism of the country that was why he offered a dinner in Manila Yacht Club.

With regards to the accusations that he asked for the candidates’ phone numbers, Amado straightforwardly responded that they are all lies because he could not recall a time when he did the said act.

Aside from claiming that he did not asked for their contact information, he also denied that he asked for sexual favors to the candidates.

According to the report from PEP.ph, the said sponsor is already banned in all of the Miss Earth pageants.
