- This is after GMA announced that Victor Magtanggol will end its airing
- Dingdong said that he is still unsure if his drama series will be going head-to-head with the Kapamilya teleserye
Kapuso actor Dingdong Dantes promptly opened up about the possibility that his new show with GMA-7 will be pitted against the top-rating teleserye, “Ang Probinsyano.”
KAMI learned that the current counterpart of the most watched show on television is Victor Magtanggol which is helmed by Alden Richards.
However, it was announced recently that the GMA drama series will be airing its final episode already on November 16.
Because of this, Dingdong’s upcoming teleserye with Dennis Trillo entitled “Cain at Abel” is said to replace Victor Magtanggol and be put in the same timeslot as Ang Probinsyano.
The promising Kapuso actor expressed in an interview that he still has no idea if his upcoming show will be pitted against the Coco Martin teleserye.
He even emphasized that he and his co-actors often set aside the time when the drama series will be aired because they are busy with the shooting.
With regards to going head-to-head with Ang Probinsyano, the GMA-7 celebrity disclosed that the cast of Cain at Abel are not after the competition in ratings.
He also said that people have their own preferences of the different programs or shows that they want to watch.
"Hangga't maaari, binibigay namin ang gusto nila,” he added.
In a previous article by KAMI, the actor got packed up early in his shooting for upcoming film because of Kapamilya actor Ryan Bang.
Dingdong, or Jose Sixto Gonzalez Dantes III in real life, was born on August 2, 1980. He is dubbed as Kapuso Primetime King after starring in several drama series including Alyas Robin Hood, Genesis, and Stairway to Heaven.
