- Singer Regine Velasquez opened about about the end of her showbiz career
- She issued some statements about this in an interview with Korina Sanchez
- Regine, however, thanked ABS-CBN for giving her another chance
Now-Kapamilya singer Regine Velasquez courageously admitted some things that she felt regarding the end of her career as a celebrity.
KAMI learned that the confession happened during her much-talked-about interview with Korina Sanchez in Rated K.
The Asia’s Songbird initially revealed that she is well knowledgeable that her time in showbiz is slowly fading.
She even admitted that celebrities are given time to be at their peak and she said she already passed that point in her career.
“I’m very aware that it’s no longer my time, kasi binibigyan ka naman ng time. Kanya-kanya lang ng time and I’m very aware of that,” Regine quipped.
“Nandito na ako sa time ng career ko na ganu’n na. Ako naman kasi praktikal akong tao at saka nare-recognize ko naman ’yung pinamamalagi ko sa industriyang ito. I’m very aware of where I am now,” she added.
However, the veteran singer said that because of ABS-CBN, she feels like she is given another opportunity to be what she was before.
Regine also shared that she goes back to her first love which is singing and she thanks the Kapamilya network for that chance.
“Parang pa isa-isa na lang (before) pero eto nagsisimula ako ulit, pero exciting siya, parang nag-second wind nga ako,” she expressed.
“More than anything else, ganun pala yun bumabalik ka sa unang una mong love, first love mo which is singing. Maraming, maraming salamat sa ABS-CBN for giving me this chance and for taking me back,” she added.
