Nonong de Andres, more popularly known as “Bangky” or “Bangkay,” passed away today at the age of 67.
KAMI learned that before his death, he stated that he was able to achieve one of his lifelong dreams – to be appreciated as an actor.
In a past interview with ABS-CBN News, Bangky said that he was finally recognized as a great actor for starring in the teleserye “Forevermore” and becoming the love team partner of fellow senior citizen Lilia Cuntapay, who has also passed away.
For this reason, he realized that he should not lose hope despite the setbacks in life.
May pag-asa pa!”
After starring in “Forevermore,” Bangky also became a cast member of “Bagani” and “Alyas Robin Hood.”
In the ‘90s, he was best known for horror and comedy movies, as he was always cast as a zombie in those films.
