- Actor Vice Ganda shared his good experiences with the late Rico J. Puno
- This happened during the tribute of It’s Showtime to the OPM Legend
- Vice held back his tears while saying that Rico is his favorite artist
Kapamilya comedian Vice Ganda did his best to avoid pouring tears in the midst of paying tribute to the late Original Pilipino Music (OPM) Icon Rico J. Puno.
KAMI learned that the noontime show, “It’s Showtime” decided to have a meaningful commemoration of Rico who also became one of the judges of Tawag ng Tanghalan.
Vice bravely volunteered to start the tribute and he began by saying that he prefers to remember the good things that he and the legendary musician shared with each other.
The actor expressed that Rico always told him that he is his favorite artist because he saw the Unkabogable star as the gay version of himself.
“Very vocal kaming dalawa ni Rico J. Puno.
Pareho daw kasi kaming bastos. Sabi niya, ‘Ako yung lalaking Vice Ganda kasi pareho kaming bastos,’” he added.
During his judging stint in Tawag ng Tanghalan, Vice admitted that he often noticed the OPM Icon as not as vibrant compared before.
However, the former Praybeyt Benjamin star quipped that during those times, he even admired Rico because he still did his best to do his mission of making other people happy.
