Cesar Montano made a statement regarding the controversial video greeting that went viraal recently. Through the columnist, Dolly Anne Carvajal, Cesar's Bff, the actor sent a message where he seemed not too affected with the bashers.
Cesar's birthday greeting circulated online after a a woman which appeared to be nude was seen in the background.
“Bff, you won’t believe that I get thousands of requests for video birthday greetings.
"But the thing is, I can’t grant their requests to focus on the background instead of me. And a hundred other requests are for my voice-over greeting only so the video will zoom in on the background (laughs).
"My favorite spoof is by Buknoy. It totally cracked me up. I’ll send it to you through Viber."
Dolly Anne published the actor's message through her column in Philippine Daily Inquirer today.
Many netizens and celebrities made spoofs, parodies and even challenges based on the video.
Even Cesar spoofed himself in his greeting for the GMA News Arnold Clavio.
