Newly-appointed special envoy to China and radio broadcaster Ramon Tulfo stated that Bureau of Customs (BOC) corrupt officials should be “executed” just like how pushers are penalized in President Rodrigo Duterte’s war on drugs.

KAMI learned from ABS-CBN News that Tulfo was discussing about the multi-billion peso worth of illegal drugs that went past through authorities last August.

“I would have the most corrupt people in the Bureau of Customs executed. Like what the government is doing to drug traffickers and minor drug players like pushers,” Tulfo stated.

“If the government can mercilessly execute drug traffickers and drug pushers, why can't it execute the most corrupt personnel in the bureau?” he added.

Tulfo also discussed about Customs deputy collector Lourdes Mangaoang, the first to say that the magnetic filters found in GMA, Cavite contained shabu.

“ 'Yung si Lourdes Mangaoang, the supposed whistleblower, took advantage of that. But Lourdes is probably one of the most corrupt Customs personnel in the bureau. It’s like the pot calling the kettle black," Tulfo quipped.

However, for Tulfo, former Customs chief Isidro Lapeña had nothing to do with the shabu that slipped past the Customs.

"Lapeña was negligent, parang tatanga-tanga, and he has a big heart. Girlfriend niya yung Customs deputy commissioner for administration, si (Gladys) Rosales," Tulfo stated

"Malinis siya, under him tumaas ang collections ng Customs,” he added.

In a recent report by KAMI, Tulfo was appointed by President Duterte as special envoy to China. His term will last for six months. Tulfo is a known radio broadcaster for his show, “Isumbong Mo Kay Tulfo”.

Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) announced that magnetic filters found in Cavite allegedly contained shabu worth P11 billion. As previously reported by KAMI, PDEA chief Director General Aaron Aquino believed that the magnetic filters contained drugs since the beginning. However, Lapeña denied that illegal drugs slipped past them in Customs. Later on, Lapeña changed his tune and agreed that the magnetic filters had shabu.

President Duterte transferred Lapeña from Customs TESDA. The President also announced that as of the moment, the military will take over the operations of BOC as reported by KAMI.
