A lot of Original Pilipino Music (OPM) supporters are currently in grief now after it was confirmed that actor and singer Rico J. Puno already passed away at the age of 65.
KAMI learned that the veteran musician, who is also considered as one of the foundations of OPM, died on October 30 after suffering from a cardiac arrest.
Many celebrities from various networks already expressed their sincerest condolences to the singer and his bereaved family through personal and social media messages.
However, a Facebook page named The Good Old Days of the 80’s just could not help but show how it idolizes Rico as a tribute video for him was uploaded online.
The heart-breaking video was initially uploaded on August 12 to honor the contributions of the said OPM icon but it was re-shared for how many times now because of the sad incident.
The tribute featured old photos of the musician during his fame in 70’s and 80’s and there were also pictures that showed him with late celebrities Fernando Poe Jr. and Francis Magalona.
To make the footage more memorable for Rico and OPM’s fans, a live performance by him singing The Way We Were can be seen and heard as the background music.
