Veteran PBA player, Rain or Shine forward Beau Belga admitted to having a spitting incident while playing in basketball court. He said that he experienced what happened to the NBA game where Los Angeles Lakers’ Rajon Rondo allegedly spat on Houston Rockets’ Chris Paul.
KAMI has learned from ABS-CBN’s The Score that Belga, known to by physical and was involved in brawls during PBA games, explained what are the possible reasons for players to spit to their opponents.
“Siguro dala nung init ng laro, tapos ‘yung may dumadaldal sa tagiliran mo na hindi mo maintindihan, ‘di mo malabanan dahil medyo may language barrier kayo, ‘yun na lang ang maibigay mo,” Belga said.
The PBA player also shared that he experienced this twice. However, he did not mention any name. At first, the officials did not notice it but later on when they reviewed the game, they saw it. Belga said that he paid a fined around P10,000-P15,000 and that he regrets it.
“It’s part of the game pero hindi advisable na gawin mo, kasi hindi naman tama na duduraan mo yung kalaban mo dahil lang sa laro,” Belga stated.
He also had an advice to all the players out there. “Lunukin mo na lang,” he said.
In a recent report by KAMI, the game of Lakers and Houston ended up with a brawl. Lakers players Brandon Ingram and Rajon Rondo were suspended along with Chris Paul. It all started when Ingram pushed James Harden.
