There are rumors circulating online that Regine Velasquez transferred from GMA-7 to ABS-CBN because of the latter’s P500-million offer.
KAMI learned that the singer finally broke her silence on the rumor.
According to PUSH, Regine denied the rumor and explained that she wanted to be a Kapamilya because of her desire to work with the singers of the network.
"The reason I'm here is because hindi ko alam kung hanggang kailan ko pa kayang kumanta and I want to work with their talented singers.
“'Yun talaga 'yon. Na bago man lang matapos ang career ko ay masasabi kong nakatrabaho ko rin ang no. 1 station," she explained.
KAMI reported earlier that actress Liza Soberano was one of the Kapamilya artists who got stunned by the performance of Regine in her ASAP debut.
Regine tied the knot with Ogie Alcasid in December 2010. Her husband transferred from GMA-7 to the Kapamilya network just two years ago.
On November 2011, Regine gave birth to their son Nathan via Cesarean section.
Ogie has two daughters – Leila and Sarah – with his former wife Michelle.
