- Actor Ryan Bang got emotional after the announcement of Magpasikat 2018 winners
- The Korean celebrity said he is the only one who has yet to win in the contest
- Jhong Hilario and other hosts comforted Ryan and said that they are all winners
Korean heartthrob Ryan Bang could not hide how disappointed he was when the results of the recently-concluded Magpasikat 2018 were announced to public.
KAMI learned that a lot of netizens rooted for the tandem of the promising actor and Vhong Navarro to win in this year’s competition.
The two It’s Showtime hosts collaborated in doing a meaningful and emotional performance that focused on the effects of bullying.
The team of Anne Curtis and Mariel Padilla was hailed as the 3rd placer while Vice Ganda and Amy Perez’ collaboration reaped the 2nd place award.
In the video uploaded on Youtube, it can be heard that people were shouting the name of the Korean actor during the announcement of the champion team.
However, results showed that the musical play of Jhong Hilario and Karylle emerged as the winners, leaving the team of Ryan and Vhong at the consolation place.
After announcing the team of Jhong and Karylle as the winner, some camera shots were focused on the foreigner host and on his reaction.
Even Vice can be heard worrying about the actor’s feelings, expressing that Ryan might breakdown because of the result.
Jhong bravely comforted his co-host and said that they are all winners because they all worked hard for the Magpasikat 2018.
Ryan commented that he was really disappointed because he is the only host who has never won in the annual competition.
“Sabi nga natin, pamilya tayong lahat dito sa Showtime. Kaya naman Ryan, kasama tayo dito… Lahat tayo nagpagod kaya sa atin lahat ‘to,” Jhong expressed.
“Masasabi mo yan kasi champion kayo. Ang sama ng loob ko kasi siyam na taon, ako lang ang hindi… Gusto ko top 3, e. Kahit 3rd place, masayng-masaya na ako, e,” the Korean actor replied.
Ryan then apologized to his team mates and even emphasized that he did his best to win the contest.
Here is the video of their dramatic moment:
In a previous article by KAMI, the actor hilariously hinted the answer to the rumors about Vice and Calvin Abueva.
Ryan, or Bang Hyun-sung in real life, was born on June 16, 1991. He gained popularity after joing and ending as a runner-up in the reality show, “Pinoy Big Brother: Teen Clash of 2010.”
